Covid 19 Information
To keep Covid-19 risks as low as possible for all, we are operating in line with Government & Travel Industry guidance and are signed up to Visit England’s “Good to Go”, the AA’s “Covid-19 Confident” and Airbnb’s “Commit to Clean” schemes.
The information below outlines what we are doing and what our guests are asked to do to keep Covid-19 risk levels low for everyone on-site.
Arrivals & Departures
Information, directions and payment details are e-mailed out to guests prior to arrival. This includes links to websites where tourist information is available. Our check-in time is 4pm - giving us plenty of time to carry out the extended cleaning protocols ready for your contact-free arrival. We have key safes outside Owl Barn & Orchard Barn and will send you your code a few days before your holiday. If you are arriving after dark, we will leave both an external and internal light on.
We kindly ask that you leave promptly at 10am on your departure day to ensure we’re able to get the accommodation ready for our next guests.
Cleaning Process
We use industry-recognised anti-bacterial & anti-viricidal products conforming to BS EN 14476 and BS EN 1276 standards to sanitise the main touch points such as door handles, remote controls, switches & appliance handles and, also, soft furnishings. This we do in addition to our normal high standards of cleaning. We leave surface cleaner and hand wash for you to use during your stay.
In Owl Barn, Orchard Barn and Elle-de-Vardo, you will find all the equipment and general items you need to enjoy your stay. Although we clean the main kitchen inventory items every changeover, it’s not possible to sanitise each individual item (such as books, games & DVDs). To manage this, we recommend that you run the cookware items on a dishwasher cycle before use and wash/sanitise your hands or equipment before and after handling general cottage items.
For your, and our, safety, we ask you to strip beds and place laundry items in the blue laundry bags supplied. We also request that you put all your rubbish in the black wheelie-bin at the bottom of the main drive and recycling in the green wheelie-bin adjacent to your cottage. Please check the ‘fridge/freezer and cupboards for food and drink and take it home with you.
Please place the property keys and temporary dog tags either on the table on in the lock.
Cancellation/Termination of your Stay due to Covid-19
Here, at Sisland Tithe Barn, we would like our guests to act responsibly and in-line with the current Government guidance in relation to Covid-19.
From the 19th April 2022, there are no legal restrictions in place in relation to Covid-19. This means that an individual does not have to self-isolate if they have a positive lateral flow test result. As such, we have reverted back to our normal Terms & Conditions.
Should the situation change and restrictions are re-introduced making it impossible to you to take your holiday, please get in touch with us and we will either move or cancel your booking.
If you are concerned about the potential future impact of Covid-19 on your holiday plans, outside of legal restrictions, we advise you to take out travel insurance which covers you in case of these eventualities.
