Sisland Tithe Barn is perfectly located to enjoy the many leisure facilities and tourist attractions that the area has to offer. Both Owl Barn and Orchard Barn have extensive, up-to-date tourist information folders together with a good collection of walking guides and maps.
Owl Barn and Orchard Barn are both fifteen minutes drive away from the vibrant city of Norwich with its imposing castle and spired Anglican Cathedral. As England’s second largest city from medieval times through to the Industrial Revolution, it has an unrivalled collection of heritage landmarks which blend stunningly with 21st century architecture. Named as England’s first UNESCO City of Literature in 2012, Norwich has enough museums, galleries and cultural vibrancy to entertain you for weeks.
Head south and the Suffolk Heritage Coast is within easy reach – Southwold and Aldeburgh are charming seaside towns and well worth a visit. Sisland is also close to the Norfolk Broads, the southern rivers of which can easily be explored by day-boat hire from Beccles.
Closer to base, once you look out over the neighbouring fields and meadows, it is easy to appreciate the countryside. Sisland is home to diverse flora and fauna and a beautiful bluebell wood, Sisland Carr, is only a twenty minute walk from your front door.
